The rollercoaster I didn’t see coming

Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing, and the pool felt overrun because of the day passes given to locals.

The beach access at Tesoro Ixtapa Beach Resort was exceptional, featuring a wide, clean strip of soft sand perfect for leisurely strolls. The staff consistently greeted me with smiles, and the resort felt welcoming and comfortable for seniors.

Improve food variety for buffet dining experience.

This place suits me perfectly! I love the outdoor swimming pool, bar area, and beach access. The staff were super helpful, even printing tickets for me on my first stay. Dennis made our bar chats enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back for a city break!

We had an amazing time on our trip! The ocean views were stunning, and the large outdoor pool was perfect for relaxation. We hit up the Ixtapa Golf Course and Marina, which are a must for any activity lovers. Just a fab time with friends!

However, we had a rough experience with the food options. The buffet dining was below average, making meal times quite disappointing.

The Deluxe King or Double Room with Partial Ocean View had awesome amenities like air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a minibar. The bathroom was nice, featuring a shower and complimentary toiletries. The outdoor swimming pool was refreshing, with plenty of sun loungers to chill on. I loved the beach access for sunset views and relaxation.

The great staff made us feel welcomed, and the yummy pork belly was a highlight during our meals. However, the cleanliness left something to be desired, especially under the beds, and we encountered a cockroach in our room. The air conditioning issues were problematic, particularly during the hot, humid days. Given these factors, I would look for alternatives next time.

The food options are disappointing, with a repetitive menu leading me to eat out frequently. The pool bar service feels painfully slow, particularly during peak times, which can be frustrating. Also frustrating was the policy regarding outside food near the pool, especially when locals seemed free to bring in their own snacks. Upon arrival, the wristband situation left us waiting until noon to access amenities after traveling all night, which was less than ideal. Additionally, the limited English channels on the TV felt inadequate for international guests.

This resort is perfect for larger families wanting to stay together. The private beach offers stunning ocean views, and the large outdoor pool is great for making family memories. We felt welcomed, even with our two dogs in tow!

My kids wished there were more kid-friendly activities available.
